Promotion of young researchers

Highly motivated and talented PhD students and PostDocs interested in working within the Network are supported by many tools. They are getting the possibility to visit the other groups (“working visits”) and to broaden their knowledge on techniques, model systems and scientific information.

Each PhD student in the Network is encouraged to choose two mentors. They agree to support the PhD student by helping in experimental but also in more personal questions.

The official meetings of the Network are accompanied by a meeting for the PhD students and PostDocs, especially, and give them the opportunity to present and discuss the most recent data or problems. Further, they have the possibility to invite external speakers.

Further information can be given on inquiry.

Of particular interest within the Network is the balanced aspect of gender and the high proportion of young investigators as project leaders.
